Over 800 Crane Fluid Systems Dominator Eco units have been selected and installed by MEP contractor MSL in the HVAC system of 3 Sheldon Square, Paddington, London.
The refurbishment of the 11-storey office building will provide sustainable, high-quality workspaces with a focus on occupant well-being. Building owner British Land are challenging the conventions of corporate workplace design by establishing a connection to nature through a series of cascading hanging balconies.
Selected in line with the project’s sustainability strategy, the Dominator Eco has been engineered with sustainability in mind, delivering accurate flow, temperature, and pressure control to aid HVAC system efficiency.
Furthermore, embodied carbon has been reduced with a 28% shorter and 36% lighter design that is delivered in eco-friendly packaging with a digital installation guide to further minimise the product’s impact on the planet.
Crane BS&U officially launched the Dominator Eco at an event in central London in April this year. Held at the Wellcome Collection, Euston, the event showcased the new Dominator Eco and provided valuable insight into variable volume solutions and sustainability to an audience of building services contractors and consultants.
