Crane Fluid Systems of Ipswich have won two prestigious categories in the annual Anglian Business Awards staged by Barclays and the East Anglian Daily Times.
After winning the overall Business of the Year in last year's awards, Crane have now added the Award for Export Achievement and the Research and Development Award for 2002.
Receiving the Export Award, Crane Sales and Marketing Director Andrew Sunaway said, "Following a review of export opportunities, we have taken measures to ensure that these are maximised and are now on course to achieve our target of significantly increasing our export business."
Crane currently exports valves and malleable iron pipe fittings to over 81 countries throughout the world.
The Research and Development award was received by Ian Wilson, Product Engineering and Quality Assurance Director, and recognised the recent development of a new generation of valve products that challenge traditional industry thinking and provide savings in time and money for customers. These products include the Pro-Tee combination valve, the Pro-Balance balancing valve and the Dominator Z3000 flow management system for fan coil units.
