The Water Bylaws Scheme (WBS) have just granted approval to the Pro-Tee combination valve recently introduced to the market by Crane Fluid Systems.
The WBS recognition approves the Pro-Tee as being suitable for use with drinking water. The Pro-Tee's main application is in commercial and industrial H & V systems. It comprises a union and isolating ball valve within a galvanised body, thereby combining the fittings and valve that would traditionally have been used at T branch connections, in one compact component. A combi adapter is fitted in the union tail to allow connection to either copper or steel.
"Contractors appreciate its simplicity and the time savings, said Crane sales and marketing director Andrew Sunaway, "and distributors are keen to stock it as it replaces the three or four separate traditional components. This new WBS Approval opens up the scope for the Pro-Tee into potable water applications", said Mr Sunaway.
